“I’d been obsessed with a Spotify playlist called 'Chilled Beats' which my flatmate had introduced me to at the time. We all went out for dinner together and I was instantly attracted to Olivia but when Caedie (my then flatmate) told me that she was behind 'Chilled Beats', I thought it was a sign. Within a week we hosted a dinner party which Olivia came to and I spent all night speaking to her. I knew that was it.“ - Robbie, the Groom
Olivia is one of my dearest friends and when I met Robbie I just knew she had found her Gem! I was so moved when Robbie called me to design Olivia's ring and honoured when Olivia later asked me as one of her bridesmaid. I made it my mission to find a center stone as unique as her.
Robbie proposed in a lovely romantic country cabin retreat in the UK. The hotel staff were in on the surprise and had helped prepare a lovely area in the woods with a wood fire, flowers, canapés and champagne. Robbie had prepared a playlist that was playing all of their favourite songs - creating the perfect setting for the big question.
“I chose Anna to design the ring not only because she is one of Olivia’s closest friends, but also because Olivia has always loved the designs of Atelier Molinari. Olivia doesn’t wear rings very often, and we’d never discussed what style she might like, which made the process feel quite daunting at first. I knew I wanted a gemstone, but beyond that I wasn’t sure where to begin.
Anna was exceptional throughout the entire process. She shared a range of thoughtful design options and helped shape something that felt truly personal. I was torn between a sapphire and an emerald, and Anna eventually found a beautiful, very old sapphire that immediately felt right. We designed the ring around that stone.
Anna’s focus was always on creating a ring she believed Olivia would love, without ever imposing her own ideas. She patiently reassured me whenever I questioned the design and, throughout what is a very personal experience, she was not just a designer but a genuine friend. She was also the first person I called after asking Olivia’s parents for permission to marry her.“ - Robbie, the Groom
Thankfully, Olivia loved the ring. Knowing it is completely unique, and that the design came from me with Anna’s guidance, makes it even more special.
